George Brooks is a prolific and
diverse Grammy-nominated reed player and composer
who toured with icons of R&B, jazz, and pop music as
diverse as Etta James, Sonny Rhodes, Anthony
Braxton, The Temptations, The Four Tops, John
McLaughlin and Zakir Hussain.
He is widely
acclaimed for successfully bridging the worlds of
jazz, blues, and Indian classical music. Brooks is a
frequent headliner at concerts in India where his
fusion style has proven widely popular.
Violinist Kala Ramnath, from a
7-generation violin dynasty, regularly forges
musical alliances with her "singing violin" in jazz,
traditional African as well as Western Classical
genres. Her contributions feature in Hollywood
soundtracks (“Blood Diamond” among others) and
Grammy-winning albums (Kronos Quartet’s “50 for the
Future”).
Award winning raga pianist
Utsav Lal, has released six albums, was
named a Young Steinway Artist by Steinway and Sons,
earned a bachelors in Jazz from the Royal
Conservatory of Scotland and a Masters in
Contemporary Improvisation from New England
Conservatory of Music, and has won wide praise for
his “Ragas to Reels” concert tours that bring
together both Traditional Irish and Classical Indian
